Our class collaborated with Mrs. Balla's class again today to help stand with Douglas by making banners for the students returning to school next week. It was truly amazing to see these kids work together to create something positive for them. It was clear that they really cared about what they were doing and wanted to make a difference. The artwork is amazing! Below are just a few pictures of the kids working and some of their creations.

Before winter break, we collaborated with Mrs. Balla's class for some holiday activities. I had so much fun with you all doing a scavenger hunt, building gingerbread houses, and building snowmen. Check out the fun and the products you all created. We had a really fun Halloween this year! We visited Flamingo Gardens on Sunday. They had Story Time with the Good Witch, where she showed us a bunch of rescue animals. We got to pet an alligator and feed flamingos. For Halloween night, my son was Goku. We had a lot of fun dying his hair blue for the night and going trick-or-treating with his friends. Check out some of the photos! If you have any cool Halloween photos, share them in the comments! I hope you are all recuperating well from Hurricane Irma! Fortunately, I did not fair too poorly. I lost power for about a day and I never lost water. My internet is going in and out, and I am visiting the classroom today to prepare for your arrival on Monday. I hope that most of you are doing well, and that those of you who evacuated are able to return safely. I can't wait to see your smiling faces when we get back. Below are some pictures from my back patio. The only damages we really had were a few downed branches and trees. My garage flooded a little bit, but we got everything important out of there before the storm. Let me know how you guys are doing in the comments. Did you evacuate? Do you have power and water? I really want to know that all of you are safe. I will see you soon! We had a great time at Success Academy! Meet some of our new students. These are a few pictures from over the summer. Included are some pictures from Ms. Leiva's wedding, my trip to Tennessee, and my trip to New York. We found geocache's in three different states! Also, I got a chance to visit the first house I ever lived in with my son and my nephew. |
